Groot Drakenstein Games Club is available to hire for many different types of events; Cricket Hires, Touring Sides, Weddings, Functions, Birthdays and more.

Venue Hire
This includes the hire of the clubhouse, swimming pool, braai areas (inside and outside), bar, barman and parking for around 50 vehicles. A refundable breakage deposit of R2,000 is payable before all hires. Strictly no outside alcohol allowed, with the exception of wine, which attracts a per bottle corkage fee.
Optional Extras
Cricket Hire (Sept – Apr only)
Over and above the venue hire, we are able to prepare a turf wicket & outfield, basic cricket kit hire (stumps, gloves, bats, pads, etc…) and, if appropriate, the opportunity to play against the Groot Drak Cricket Team. New cricket balls can be arranged at an additional cost. Umpires and scorers are not provided.
Catering on request
If required, catering can be quoted on. This usually covers a light lunch, drinks and a locally-inspired sit-down dinner.
We can accommodate up to 70 guests for sit-down dinners, or 100 for less formal gatherings.
