A VALLEY TRADITION REBORN
Not something new - something remembered
At the beginning of April 2026, the Franschhoek 6's returns to the cricket calendar. Played on South Africa's oldest turf wicket at Groot Drakenstein Games Club, this weekend invitational celebrates fast, social cricket in the spirit it was always meant to be played.
Six-a-side cricket has been played at Groot Drakenstein for decades and has long been a highlight of the club's calendar. Its return marks an important step in reconnecting the club's heritage with its future.
